Whether it’s Benjamin Netanyahu empowering Hamas, presiding over a massive intelligence failure that let them kill 1,200 Israelis on October 7th, and then killing 74,000 Palestinians in response or Zohran Mamdani pointing out that he did this, both men have fueled their bitter feud.

Fully agree. Last I checked, hacking is illegal. The person who wrote the prompt should be charged, and the company that executes the code without guardrails held liable.

There's that effect where AI seems really incredible and "intelligent" outside of your domain, and then you apply it to an area you're actually competent in and you realize how shallow and stupid it is. I can understand why this man thinks it is universally "intelligent" is what I'm saying

What's happening in Alberta is even more batshit than I ever thought. Danielle Smith is a dangerous psychopath, and the AB separatist movement largely exists because COVID broke far-right brains, and is led by Christo-fascist religious white nationalists, relying on dark money. 2/n

I'm going to say this without pointing the finger at the person below bc they get it, but many outside Alberta, I believe, don't have a full grasp of what this movement is. It isn't like Quebec, it is almost entirely without basis and can never be mollified or appeased, only fought against.

Everyone's talking about how the Alberta referendum will be all about *turnout*. But how, exactly, would different turnout rates among separation supporters vs. stay-in-Canada supporters affect the outcome? I built a tool where you can play with the numbers and see for yourself:
turnoutsimulator.ca
The smaller side can win a referendum — or at least make it close
A side that's behind in the polls can still win if the other side stays home. Try it with the Alberta separation vote.

As Canada is learning (the hard way), the "art" of all of Trump's deals can be summed up in a single word: "renege": pluralistic.net/2026/07/22/t... 1/
A Canadian flag, its elements replaced with circuit boards. In the foreground, a bent-double, exhausted Uncle Sam trudges over rocky terrain, shlepping a giant sack on his back. Centered in the maple leaf is the word SORRY.

Absolutely unbelievable how solar power has taken off worldwide during the Hormuz oil crisis. You don't have to hand it to him, but Trump may have done more to finally kick off a global civilization of effete librul solar users than anyone else in the West
Chart showing solar panel exports from China (the main solar panel maker by a long shot) growing steadily & mightily from 2018 through 2026, then spiking by almost 2x in March 2026.
