This is a deep dive. As a kid one of the games I played on the Genesis was Tinhead. The level 2 boss scared the crap out of me because you would spawn in and couldn’t see it, it would simply start launching things at you with a high pitched screech sound. I would play easy mode to skip it.

SRC changed their terms of use yesterday, and released a news post with an FAQ. They make it sound like not a big deal. It's a big deal. The Creative Commons licence is gone. They claim ownership over the data now. Thread about what this means, and what we can do about it 🧵

New Steam scam just dropped ‼️ Compromised accounts create a group chat with a fake "$50 gift card" image and QR code linking to a phishing site, then immediately leave to hide the message from the account owner. Be super weary if you receive a group chat out of the blue like this.

Yeah, well *I'm* fed up with politicians who took until 2026 to realize an energy system which relies on constant extraction of resources sets you up for this very thing to happen one day. Alternatives are here! We've been talking about them for decades now! It's not that complicated!

This has genuinely frustrated me to no end because I'm a firm believer that cards, toys, and games are meant to be played with and enjoyed. One thing to make a personal collection of your favorite things, another to view things strictly as an avenue for profit or social status.

What was your first Pokemon game and starter? I didn't own a Gameboy or Color, so I didn't start til gen 3. What's funny as well is I picked what would end up being my least favorite starter of the lot. Thankfully all three are pretty top tier!

I don't remember which one I beat first, so I'll put both it could be. I played both of them a lot at the time and hogged the Genesis for a while. So either it's Sonic 2 or Spinball, and both are still favorites to this day!

Also, anxiety and ADHD are highly correlated, which is obvious to anyone with ADHD who’s had a lot of awful experiences with “constantly messing things up without realizing you’re doing it, leading you to a life of wondering at all times if you’re doing something horribly wrong.”
