Tomorrow, Discord will place everyone into an age group using account signals. They claim 90% of users won't have to confirm their age. They are also introducing new verification methods if you do need to verify that you are an adult, including Credit Cards and App Stores.

More than 90% of you won’t be asked to confirm your age. Since our last post about teen safety, we've had to launch age assurance solutions in more places, including Texas and Brazil. Laws requiring age assurance are expanding around the world. Rather than waiting to be told how to do it, we’re launching our own privacy-preserving approach: one that reflects your feedback.
You can check your age group status at User Settings > Account Status. We've estimated your age group automatically from account signals like how long your account has existed or the kinds of servers you're a part of. We don’t look at your messages, calls, or other content. We're launching this over the course of this week, so it may take a few days to reach your account.
If you're in the adult age group (18+), nothing changes. If you're in the teen age group (13-17), you can keep messaging friends, joining voice calls, and participating in non-age-restricted servers, but with additional safety protections that block age-restricted content, spaces, and settings. Otherwise, Discord works the same. More on this below.
We've added several new ways to confirm your age, including some that don't require an ID or selfie (including credit cards). If you're an adult but weren't automatically placed in the adult age group, you can confirm your age group at any time by going to User Settings > Account Status. More on the new options below.

I was 16 when I got my first debit and credit card too. The bank gave them to me at the same time as I opened an account. As far as I know, there's no real age limit to get a credit card, because parents have been getting cards in their infant children's names to "build their credit" since forever

Hello everyone,
My name is Frank, Founder of Jet Creations. I have been involved in the inflatable products industry since the 1970s, accumulating decades of experience in product design and manufacturing. I am now retired.
Recently, I became aware that someone has publicly claimed that Jet Creations "copied all of his technology." I was extremely surprised by this allegation, and I believe it is necessary to clarify the relevant facts.
Since 2015, the individual who made these statements has contacted and met with me on multiple occasions to seek my advice and discuss the design and manufacturing technologies used in inflatable products. As recently as late 2023 and throughout 2024, you personally visited the Jet Creations office to consult with me and discuss technical matters related to inflatable products. I did not charge any consulting fees for these discussions.
These interactions and communications occurred prior to the recent public allegations concerning Jet Creations and are documented in records that have been preserved.
Therefore, when I now see you claiming that these technologies belong to you and accusing Jet Creations of copying your technology, I believe several fundamental questions should be addressed:
Do you operate your own inflatable product manufacturing facility and have substantial long-term, hands-on manufacturing experience? What is the origin and development timeline of the technologies that you now claim as your own?
Jet Creations Inc. also holds a U.S. copyright registration for its "Inflatable Deer" work. I recently became aware of an inflatable deer product being manufactured, promoted, and offered for preorder that raises intellectual property concerns. The relevant information and evidence have been provided to our intellectual property counsel, Justin King of WAT, PC, for legal review and appropriate handling. We are prepared to initiate appropriate legal proceedings if necessary.

I have also become aware of inflatable products currently this individual promoted in the marketplace that may involve structures and techniques covered by Jet Creations' patent-pending intellectual property. Relevant product information, photographs, publication records, and other evidence are being preserved and have been provided to counsel for further review.
I am aware of the statements and materials this individual has recently published, and the information and records currently in our possession have been turned over to our attorney for further handling.
Jet Creations respects fair market competition, and we respect the intellectual property rights of other creators and manufacturers. In the same manner, we will protect our own copyrights, patent-pending techniques, and other lawful intellectual property rights through appropriate legal channels.
Effective as of the date of this statement, I have authorized my attorney to represent me in matters relating to these intellectual property and infringement disputes. We expressly reserve all rights and remedies available under applicable law, including the right to pursue further legal action where appropriate.
The facts, the timeline, and the evidence will ultimately speak for themselves.
