2 weeks ago I was diagnosed with #Endometriosis. I've had it for at least 11 years and it has likely been a major source of my #chronicpain. I'm having urgent surgery on August 1st. Hopefully this could reduce my pain. I am suffering deeply right now. Please send positive vibes x #disability

When your appendix might be bursting but you are waiting 5 hours WITH YOUR WIFE for a CT scan because the technicians want a pregnancy test... I can laugh about it 2 weeks later.😂 Thankful I had a good nurse who realized the problem 🙌 #disabled #disability #humor #lesbian #nurse #nursesrule

Oh, you're starting to have basic symptoms of aging and realize you're not invincible? Boo hoo. Some of us had to accept #disabilities as children & will never know what it's like to not be symptomatic. Privilege doesn't just apply to wealth or status. If you're healthy today, check your privilege.

#Disability & #chronicpain friends I need advice: I have been at a level 10/10 pain for days. I'm struggling to move/ even think. My wife doesn't know what to do/ how to support me when it's this bad & I don't know what to tell her. What kind of behavior is helpful from your partner during a flare?

When I was 14 my English teacher saved my life when I tried to kill myself bc of abusive parents. Yesterday she and her husband legally adopted me (I'm 28) I've never felt so loved. I never thought I could "deserve" it bc I was taught that love is transactional. Now I know it can be unconditional.
