I’m not a huge Stephen King stan, but he had one piece of advice I think about a lot, and that is he never wrote down an idea when it came to him. If he still had that idea weeks or months layer he would work it out. I always thought that was a good piece of advice.

People in publishing who tell you or cause you to feel they can harm your career if you displease them almost never have that power. Especially in science fiction and fantasy. Especially in the short story field.

Networking in this industry is less about trading business cards and a lot closer to forming friendships. These don't have to be deep, unbreakable friendships, but familiar acquaintances -- folks you'd want to have a beer with, share funny memes with, work on a 150 page graphic novel with, etc...

The main copyright problem involved in Internet Archive case isn't the fair use limitation. It's that copyright law permits publishers to "sell" libraries time- or loan-limited book licenses in the first place. That licensing is entirely based on a legal fiction created by a dumb court precedent.

Taskmaster fighting White Fox. He’s using moves from several different characters. The moves are named based on who he saw use them.

Oh my god I’m going to love this book aren’t I

Taskmaster yelling at Bullseye. He says “Hey Lester! Maybe go back to killing Daredevil’s girlfriends and leave this to the pros, huh?”
Bullseye yells “Shut it!” back.
Taskmaster laughs
