PbtA fans, here's my challenge to you. For the next 12 months, when somebody asks how PbtA works, tell them that normally a 10+ is a critical hit, a 7-9 is a hit, and a 6- is a compromise, but that unusually challenging or dangerous situations can bump itdown.

Blades of Thesus: a webapp that outputs a cheatsheet for Blades in the Dark. You select which of the Deep Cut mods you want to install, and it subs out and fixes the appropriate rules. The community can also publish their own mods which can be installed and generate new reference booklets.

Throughout the text of Seven-Part Pact are themes of misogyny, homophobia, and transphobia. Different themes, including complex and challenging ones that push at the limits of social acceptability, may emerge from play. As both wizards and the world around them, players will often find themselves on both the giving and receiving end of violence. Sometimes during the game a player may pause and realize that their character has just casually performed an act of mass violence, authoritarian surveillance, or monstrous social inequity. These moments can be compelling. Seven-Part Pact is frequently at its most interesting when players discuss and linger on the implications of their characters' actions.

The ring around his sixth finger holds Ort’s dead world.
Mark a stress to release his full power: he’s large, 20hp, 10 in all stats, deals massive damage with its punches, squeezes, and so on, can push, guard you, and do whatever a giant hand could do. If you don’t puppet it, it will do its best to protect you. When its Substance reaches 0, it will return the next evening.
