Public Domain Art is the lifeblood of small tabletop rpgs, but it can be a nightmare trying to find the right art and license. This week, I’ve re-uploaded my old list from 2020 (with updates) of public domain websites. That's 500,000+ public domain paintings, photos, maps, and film. Link below 🔗👇

Hi #portfolioday ! I create strange & wonderful #creatures in #watercolor + gouache. I'm hoping to work for #MTG, or other projects illustrating strange dudes, faeries, and forest beasts. Most of my portfolio beasts are from my book-in-progress (2027), about Woolbeasts. MelissaSueStanley.com
A watercolor painting of two strange furry creatures perched on a snow-covered branch. The background is a snowy blue and white. The creatures are singing and are all wrapped up together in a thick red knit scarf.
watercolor painting: The painting is of a tree canopy with strawberry birds perched around it. In the foreground is a large strawberry bird with teeth and jam dripping down onto the branch below.. where a bird appears to be missing.. oh no.
Watercolor painting of a chicken standing in a thorny, grassy patch under a bright blue sky. On the chicken's back there is a small green hut with mouse skulls on sticks on either side of the door. On top of the hut is a mouse wearing a shawl, holding a tiny bloody mary, talking to a fat bumblebee. It's ... cute?watercolor painting of a small teal blue/green furry creature with leaves growing from its head. It's sitting on the ground with its legs stretched out in front, and is chomping on a crabapple.

I had gone for a blue hour dog walk in our coastal Oregon RV campground and took the road down into the tent camping area. Most sites had lots of lights and sounds, but some were quiet like this one, and it made me feel like a Bigfoot watching in the darkness. . Solo Camping 24”x12” oil on canvas

#MANIFESTOJAM MY SUBMISSION ACCESSIBLE FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT FEEL LIKE DOWNLOADING A ONE PAGE PDF. SHOWOFF SHOWOFF SHOWOFF
white text on a black background with a labyrinth outlined in marked flesh. Stop hiding. Have a vision and execute. Say what you mean. Subtlety is a tool, not a safeguard. FUCK THE AUDIENCE. Make something true, not something real. Consensus is poison. Take a bite out of what you want and stop waiting for permission. Play is an altered state, identity is psychoactive, and the self is a thing that you do. Show the ghost but not the body. NOBODY IS COMING TO SAVE US SHOW THE FUCK OFF. beneath that in blackletter font, it says showoff.

Very fun idea that rhymes with something I've been thinking of trying out some time (stacking a bunch of mapping games on top of each other to explore how a place changes over time/from different perspectives) But to make games that click together on purpose? Oooooo, what a tasty concept

"Wonder", my newest Woolbeast sculpture 💛 A reminder to myself: as an artist I'm always studying, trying to capture nature in graphite and paint. But as things are broken down into shapes and lines and values - don't forget to stop and simply marvel at how magical the world around you can be. 🐝🐝🐝
photograph of a sculpture against a light grey background. The sculpture is of a yellow-orange creature standing on a round, green mossy looking stand with some leaves and tiny bees on it. The creature is sort of furry and has purple horns and big ears and is wearing a teal-green-blue knit scarf. He's holding a sketchbook in one hand and looking at the blue pencil in his other hand, where a fat lil bumblebee has landed. He seems delighted.photograph of a sculpture against a light grey background. Every time I get served a video that's like "such-and-such's top howevermany (nouns) of (the current year)," I never know the person. Are they notable in some way? Are they just really good at listing? I never click the videos and I never see these strangers again, ships in the night style
