I needed to buy some AA batteries yesterday. I've been using rechargeable ones for almost 20ys. Every store only had ONE 4pack of them, or with a charger. There used to be waaay more than that available not that long ago. There's still tons of disposable ones. I feel like this is a step backwards.

I had to interact with claude code for a user at work. I instructed it to print hello world as a test. Not only did it take 20 tokens to do it, but it didnt even print it to the screen. Instead it reported that it ran powershell and printed there and let me know it did that. This is not serious tech

The context is KDE apparently wants to allow llm contributed code AND take money from some of the people funding stuff like omarchy. They just got money from the EU a few months ago to develop their stuff iirc. This would seem to be in direct contradiction of that.

I did get a family guy dvd, disc three, season 3. It was in the tray when I turned it on. Such an amazing deal!

I got a minidisc deck! It had an eject issue, I fixed it, seemed to be fine, then stopped working entirely. The mobo battery was dead, so I hope its just that. Wont know for a bit because it takes a special battery I cant just go get irl. AND im gonna have to rig up a holder. I hope it works 🙃
