Electricity is about to become the new base currency and China figured it out
For most of human history, currency was a direct claim on tangible, productive output. Before the abstraction of government fiat or cryptocurrency, value was stored in things that required real work and resources, bushels of grain, livestock, gold, assets with their own direct productive output: horses, and tragically, slaves. These were the foundational assets of economies, representing a direct link between labor, resources, and stored value. As we accelerate into an all-electric, all-digital age, this fundamental link is re-emerging, but with a new unit of account. The 21st-century economy, defined by automated industry, robotic, electric transport, and now power-hungry artificial intelligence, runs on a single, non-negotiable input: electricity. In this new paradigm, the real base currency, the ultimate representation of productive capacity, is the kilowatt-hour (kWh). more…

👇🎯 Everything since January 20 boils down, ultimately, to a total failure of everyone in the legislative branch to fulfill their damn oaths of office to country & Constitution.

It’s a scam. Pretend you are creating something new. Get dumb politicians to fund it for as long as you can. There’s no difference between Musk and Elizabeth Holmes.

New from me: Trump is a lame duck, an old, tired, easily manipulated one, whose vanity is a useful tool. Foreign leaders like Claudia Sheinbaum are right to mock him, and American elites should uncurl from the fetal position and get in on the fun.

Donald Trump is a lame duck (not a bear)—an unusually weak one, in some ways—and he knows it.

Hell. You are describing hell. Nobody wants an “interactive and engaging” dishwasher. They just want their dishes cleaned. www.forbes.com/sites/bernar...
Across all industries, organizations are rapidly embracing generative AI. Among them, makers of home appliances like fridges and ovens. Generative AI in your oven? Why not? Ater all, AI has been creeping into our homes for years (think smart lightbulbs and Alexa) – but thanks to generative AI, these interactions will become even more human and more personal.
Imagine, for example, asking your washing machine whether it’s safe to wash a beloved item of clothing on a certain setting – literally, asking it out loud or via an app. Or you could say to your fridge, “Hey, when am I going to run out of milk?” and it’ll tell you. Integrating generative AI into everyday products could lead to a new era of smart appliances that are not only more adaptive to our needs but also more interactive and engaging.
