The government is silent about it because governments do not care about disabled lives. They see us as drains on the system. “Useless eaters”. High cost health users. Anything other than people who are deserving of love and care. Most people will end up disabled at some point. Fight for us.

In this week's TPGA Newsletter, we're celebrating AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) Awareness Month. While ideally every autistic child who needs AAC will be provided with options as early as possible, it is also never too late to learn how to use AAC. buttondown.com/TPGA/archive...

There are eerie parallels between what’s happening in Irkutsk and what happened in Wuhan in early 2020. Doctors claiming the government was hiding the extent of the spread. Masks being mandated. Schools being closed. Pay attention. Listen to independent journalists & locals:

Breccia with veins of, I think, barite and/or calcite.Breccia with siltstone/shale and barite with some rosette-like crystals.A rock with some chert, barite, and maybe some diatomaceous shale/siltsone. Little weird pockets of maybe more barite, some of which have their own little weird pockets of a more translucent barite.Botryoidal barite(?) on shale/siltstone. Propped up on a greenish rock composed of, um, stuff.

Pete Wharmby's new book is out! His first two were excellent, and this one is badly needed: a book about why so many autistic kids are struggling, especially at school, from one of the people best-placed to explain it (and guide people to fix it). Very pleased to see he narrates the audiobook, too!

I ask myself same question although I never got PhD which I actually deeply regret because it was my parents wish - it was stolen from me by my ADHD/RSD plus school MH consequences & someone’s wrong assumption. My geology degree has come in useful as artist - nothing is wasted :0 #PatternFinding

If we ‘could choose not to be’ don’t they think we’d have done that by now? I’d have been rid of my trauma, resultant depression & RSD instantly. But people can choose to not understand then hurt people or have empathy and support vulnerable people ‘Choice’ - That’s the difference it seems :0

A particularly infuriating aspect of this A.I. bullshit is that nobody seems to remember that we all got along just fine without it for centuries. How are we all suddenly incapable of reading and understanding written words? Of creating art? Of telling stories? It’s madness.
