Note that the polling errors in named ballots (as opposed to generic), where they are notable, consistently favor waves against the party in the White House. In 1994 (Clinton I), 2014 (Obama II), and 2022 (Biden) they under-estimated Rs, and in 2006 (Bush II) they under-estimated Ds.
