Many games for the GameCube use only a fraction of the storage capacity of the disc. I have analyzed the data to determine what the maximum number of retail Mario games that can fit on a single disc would be, creating the Luigi & Wario + Puzzle + Rhythm Maximum Value Pack.

$A GameCube disc has a storage capacity of 1.46 gigabytes. Many Mario games use only a fraction of that storage. Below is the optimal distribution of the smallest Mario-related games on the system to fit 6 entire retail games on a single disc. Unused space 54 MB Luigi's Mansion 186 MB DDR Mario Mix 264 MB Wario World 257 MB Donkey Konga 2 312 MB Donkey Konga 250 MB Please note that this pie chart is for data visualization only. The Pac-Man: Snack Breaks episode, "Butt Bounce Boogie," contains a couple of visual gags referencing Midway's lesser-known Pac-Man games, Professor Pac-Man and Baby Pac-Man. "PUPIL 1" is written on Professor Pac's chalkboard. The end scene also shows the baby character playing a pinball machine.

In this scene from Pac-Man: Snack Breaks, Professor Pac's chalkboard has "PUPIL 1" written in the top-right corner in a stylized pixel font.

In the ending shot of the Pac-Man: Snack Breaks episode, the baby character that appears earlier can be seen in the background playing a pinball machine.

As seen in this screenshot of Professor Pac-Man, "PUPIL 1" is the term the game uses to describe the first player.

Baby Pac-Man is infamous for being a video-pinball hybrid game, with the pinball portion positioned above the controls but below the cabinet's video screen.

One of the weirder, rarer decks I have: this deck advertises Mario's Game Gallery. Specifically, the Mac version (see the MacPlay logo), and credits artist Greg Winters. It's a Gemaco deck, with generic faces and box. Cost me $60 - discounted from $299. The only one I've ever seen on eBay.

Did you know? After the source code for Super Mario 64 was rebuilt, dataminers found that the “64” on the title screen actually stands for the hardware of the running device. This produces interesting results on native PC builds.

Early copies of Super Mario Sunshine had several bugs, including a fatal memory leak that would not only cause the Chucksters to throw Mario into our dimension, but it would, more importantly, IRREPARABLY BREAK the GameCube. This was patched in subsequent copies.

In 1994, Phillips was contracted to make a Sonic the Hedgehog game for the CDI, however Phillips cancelled the project because “Sonic’s arms were blue in the gameplay. This was a fatal flaw that we cannot put past us, as we at Phillips do not believe in making imperfections.”
