also jack in the box knuckles is beautiful, best knuckles toy out there i think

photo of the 1999 jack in the box knuckles figure, standing in a white background with his left arm raised up slightly and his eyes far apart; giving him a goofy appearance

game isn't great btw, but i've found it hard to judge it for certain because all the ROMs i've found of this game are old piracy cracks that always crash during the game's second mini-game

the game over screen from Mickey Mouse: The Computer Game that's been edited (presumably) by a warez group or warez member
"to save disney castle" was replaced by "cracked by quartex"

a cheat screen that shows up upon booting a cracked ROM of Mickey Mouse done by "The Band"

a few days after this post i decided to setup an Amiga emulator to play this game on, and after a couple hours of setup and playtime i came to this conclusion:

anthony bourdain quote meme but edited to make fun of FS-UAE Launcher

"Once you've decided to setup an Amiga emulator you'll never stop wanting to beat FS-UAE Launcher to death with your bare hands"

the back of the box *does* tell you what's going on though, i'll give it that. i like how it has screenshots from every version of the game (minus the Amiga version probably cuz it shares graphics with the Atari ST version), i think that's pretty neat

i love how quaint the outer presentation of Mickey Mouse: The Computer Game is, from the boxart to the game's title it barely does anything to show or tell you what the game is about other than "it's mickey! and it's his computer game!"

the cover art for Mickey Mouse: The Computer Game
specifically, the Commodore 64 version

forgot to mention this sooner but there's a recreation of this game on itch.io by RetroFab that's really well done, props to them for recreating a game this obscure to the western world! itizso.itch.io/epoch-mickey...

ebay sellers will write a listing title that goes like "RARE 90S VINTAGE SONIC THE HEDGEHOG PLUSH TOY" and the plush they're selling is a 2018 toy factory shadow

the large shadow plush made by toy factory, released sometime in 2018

here they are next to the sprites they (might) reference sonic's reference is clear as day, but the others really aren't

Sonic Fan 64 @sonicf64.bsky.social · 25/04/2025

i did the sonic recreation waaaay back in late 2020, and only now have i decided to tackle tails & knuckles they were a bit tricky to remake since all that exists for them is one promo photo & a grainy video which don't have the clearest color, but i think i pulled through pretty well nonetheless

100

Sonic Fan 64 @sonicf64.bsky.social · 25/04/2025

and finally, sonic pixel pals recreations pixel pals were little light-up figures based of sprites, and sonic got one that released and two that were cancelled (sonic got released, tails & kux were canned) #sonicart64 #sonicthehedgehog

Sonic Fan 64 @sonicf64.bsky.social · 25/04/2025

he's a little slim, and he isn't in a spectacular pose, but that is a pretty good mickey for my standards it's definitely better than the hexagonal mickey i did way back in 2019, same goes for the sonics from earlier & this sonic sprite that i also did in 2019
