Feather trapped in dinosaur droppings provides new clues about why some birds survived extinction
Remains found in the fossilized feces of a theropod show that modern-type feathers had already evolved in other bird lineages 66 million years ago

Gorgosaurus on a stroll. #dinosaurs #paleoart
A light brown Gorgosaurus is running in side profile view through an open area full of twigs and broken wood, with ferns interspersed throughout the wood. Two small blue leptoceratopsid dinosaurs are rapidly moving out of the way of the larger creature toward the camera, kicking up dust and debris in their wake.

We are aware that during one of this year’s talks, controversial statements about the promotion of generative AI in palaeo-media were made. This component of the talk was not included in the presentation brief that we approved for show.
We want to make it clear that DinoCon does not support the use of generative AI in any way. We’d like to thank the amazing array of artists and creators that joined us this year at DinoCon 2026 who we will continue to support in future.
