Heya folks. We're on a final push to get to £10k. We're on just over £8.3k. That's less than 1/10th of what fascist Danny Tommo has recently received inndonations after slashing a dinghy with an RNLI worker on it at sea. Meanwhile our comrade faces more than 12x the jailtime for opposing fascism.

...more stuff 'n nonsense; a lotta lit-up stuff going through the place lately - though a lot looks less, when you don't get 'round to getting many photos, hohum:
an outward-facing shelving-display unit, vaguely crescent-shaped, with three tiers of shelving lit up from within, the counter-tops of the four sections of the unit also lit up; the top/fourth shelf is currently current-less, and looms darkly above the other three levels of shelving around the whole unit.a shed-like room with a wheeled table roughly at its centre; a green-lit sign on the table declares "muevete cada dia" while three other 'inspirational' up-and-at-em quotes, also illuminated and also in Spanish (?) are affixed to a mirror at the left side of the image. The other three declarations are "entrena a tu ritmo", "rompe tus limites", and "explora tus metas", lit in light blue. The correctness or otherwise of the phrases/phrasing is of somebody else's making, so credits or boos to whomever they're due.

- during the course of some of this sodding about, managed to snap a 3mm drillbit across the back of me finger, wasn't 'til I'd cleared up the claret that I realised I'd cut through the root at the arse-end of me fingernail, though had to let it grow out a few days before I could Seth Brundle it...
a left hand with an index finger injured via drillbit; a gash widening from left to right starts just above the centre of the fingernail, cutting across and through the right corner of the back end of the nail, the wound opening out in the flesh of the right side of he finger. There is a small chunk of fingernail sitting proud of the main nailbed where the cut has gone though the nail. Stings a bit, mainly when it gets snagged on stuff.the same hand, finger, and nail a few days later, where the fragmented bit of nail has grown out enough to allow it to be removed; there's a dark pink hole at the back end of the nail that's soft to the touch and hurty. Waiting and wondering what's gonna become of it all when the hole gets grown out to the front of the nail.

big big boxy-whatnots galore, for some sorta display in some sorta store...
three rather large mdf-constructed display-stands about halfway through their build, only part-panelled at the moment in a 'brushed silver' laminate. Large slots showing at the side of the constructions are to allow for lighting panels to be slid in towards the finish of the build.several more silver-skinned mdf boxes, of several different shapes and sizes, one of them reaching almost into the peak of the workshop roof.the display stands from the first picture occupy the distance to the right of this image, while three more of the really tall 'boxes' reach roofwards again in the centre and to the left.image of a badly-bent bit of panelling from one of the tall boxes, where unfortunately the top-heaviness of these things led to one of them toppling while getting van-loaded, and requiring a rebuild in last-minute-panic fashion, just the best kind of thing to deal with.

Good job Dragonmeet! I hope to see this enforced
Text reads: Dragonmeet does not accept generative AI in the products that are sold at the show, several of the core team are creatives who have had work stolen by large corporations to power their generic grifter generators, and we know that as an industry, the continued proliferation of generated AI artwork is taking work away from actual human creators that the industry relies on for its excellence. Any award submitted that is found to contain generative artwork or text will get a question sent to the publisher/creator, and if found to be the work of an art appropriation machine with a human prodding it, will be excluded.
