I was born near the River Colne, grew up near the Rivers Wenning and Aire, with family around the Croal, Blakewater and The Don. As an adult I’ve mainly liked around the Wear, with trips north and south around the Tyne and Tees.

Today = 2nd part of the outdoor first aid course I have to take to refresh myself before teaching flintknapping to the students. What crazy catastrophic emergency situations will be concocted this time? Previous ones have included bear attack with manekins in trees & crashed aircraft in rainforest.

Reflecting on this weekend - it was a good one. Lovely day out in York (despite the terrible prehistory exhibit at the museum - not enough flint!). Books bought at Toppings, chocolate from the Cocoa Works, and picked up Hail Mary Project on Blu-ray and Perfect Blue on DVD.
