ChatGPT is adding the signatures of real New Yorker cartoonists to its AI-generated images. So far, I've found the signatures of more than 15 contributors. "It’s slop, and unlike the other slop that I’ve encountered, this is slop that’s pretending to be me." www.niemanlab.org/2026/10/chat...

Norway's King Harald was loved by many, and his 2016 speech about diversity and tolerance will be a big part of his legacy. Norwegians believe “in God, in Allah and in nothing”, and include “girls who love girls, boys who love boys and girls and boys who love each other”. youtu.be/zvB0jZKRKrk?...

“The effect of ChatGPT on educators’ lives is catastrophic. Whether you intended to do it or not, you’ve made every teacher’s life infinitely more difficult than it was two years ago. So, just let that settle in… If students are using it to compose, which is the biggest tragedy of all, they’ll never learn to write. And their voice is stolen from them. They’ll never have the ability to say their truth and tell their own story. And that’s silencing an entire generation or two.”

Love this for them #subnautica #videogames #gaming
Screenshot of a Bluesky post by Kevin Beaumont mocking the CEO of Krafton, who reportedly consulted ChatGPT for advice on how to avoid paying $250 million in bonuses to Subnautica 2 developers if the game launched successfully. The post notes that the CEO executed the ChatGPT-generated plan, was subsequently sued by staff, had the chat logs entered as evidence in court, lost the lawsuit, and now faces paying more than the original $250 million while being publicly embarrassed by his own employees. Embedded within the post is a quote from journalist Jason Schreier (@jasonschreier.bsky.social) stating that Subnautica 2 launched 20 minutes prior and that Krafton would be forced to pay the bonus it tried to avoid via ChatGPT's advice. Below Schreier's text is a Steam charts screenshot showing Subnautica 2 with 293,164 concurrent players, matching both the 24-hour peak and all-time peak recorded 53 seconds prior. The post is timestamped 16:22 on May 14, 2026.
