"Dumb and desperate:" Coalition panned after vowing to scrap renewable, EV and climate policies
Federal Coalition vows to detonate most of Australia's efforts to decarbonise "within 30 days" of winning power, including the advance of renewables and the emissions-curbing policy it introduced.

Tony Abbott and the fine art of waving away corruption
Tony Abbott's efforts to downplay the NSW ICAC scandal counter his own record of reforming his party when in power — and reflect exactly the kind of hypocrisy that makes voters so fed up.

If Labor wants to sock it to One Nation, introduce a gas tax. Ignoring it isn’t brave — it’s stupid
Hopes of enshrining a gas tax in Labor’s platform were dashed on Thursday, as the party — and its once rebellious leader — kept a firm lid on dissent.

That not one journalist in the room pushed back hard on Hanson’s utterly repugnant line about migrants is shameful.
In the 2021 census, more than half of Australian residents, 51.5% were born overseas or had one parent born overseas. 51.5 per cent. Is that supported by the Australian electorate? Is that what Australia wants?

Today we learn of another new nuclear company going public to cash in on the datacenter hype. If all goes as planned they will have a commercial reactor by 2032. Their reactors would produce 1/5 of a gigawatt. Meanwhile, today, solar adds 1 gigawatt of capacity every day by noon.
the world is now adding 2GW of solar capacity every day.
