I took this photo on the Teign Estuary in Devon in spring 2022. I thought I was just taking a photo of an attractive hole in an old tree. It was only when I got home and looked through my camera roll that I saw the leaping dog, who I'd caught perfectly framed, mid-leap, totally by chance. I remembered the dog immediately, because of what an annoying twat it had been.

Today we went for a walk on Rosemarkie beach. The whole place was shrouded in mist, which was quite beautiful. As it began to clear, I saw something I had never seen or heard of before - a fog bow, also known as a white rainbow.

Visiting Shin Falls ‘out of season’ meant no cafe (or toilets!) but we had the woodland walk to ourselves and that was glorious. We also got lost on the way and ended up at an eerie loch in the middle of nowhere… (Loch Buidhe). Wish I’d taken a picture but we were busy trying to find our way back!
