Bulk Measurement of Membrane Permeability for Random Cyclic Peptides in Living Cells to Guide Drug Development
Some cyclic peptides can cross membranes, which is highly attractive for drug development, but it remains difficult to accurately predict membrane permeability or to test it experimentally for large ...

My colleagues at Novo Nordisk have developed long-acting variants of PYY which, when combined with semaglutide, show promise in improving obesity and blood glucose regulation in preclinical models without muscle loss. Read more here: www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

Another great paper from #NovoNordisk on how housing mice near vs below thermoneutrality affects drug-induced weight loss because thermal stress greatly increases energy expenditure. Key to better evaluating data in the quickly growing field of obesity research! www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

Housing mice near vs. below thermoneutrality affects drug-induced weight loss but does not improve prediction of efficacy in humans
Evaluation of weight loss drugs is usually performed in diet-induced obese mice housed at ∼22°C. This is a cold stress that increases energy expenditu…
