My favorite cafe just added chai to their menu in the past couple weeks and of course it’s the best chai from a cafe I’ve ever had—but, also of course, I’m moving this week. Like star-crossed lovers, this chai and I are to be cruelly separated by distance and circumstance 🥲

I think one of the things I miss most about being a kid (besides the obvious stuff) is being able to walk barefoot on grass. Yeah sure I technically could do that now, but, now not only am I hyper aware of germs, I’m also hyper aware of ticks which can now be commonly found in lawns

So I’m learning French and sometimes when I’m searching for a French word in my head the years I spent from elementary to high school in Spanish classes bubbles up from the very bottom of my mind, surfaces, and provides me with a word instead even though I haven’t studied Spanish in years. (1/2)

“We are heartbroken but also very angry.

Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately, he will not be with us to see his impact.

I do not throw around the ‘hero’ term lightly. However, his last thought and act was to protect a woman. The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He had his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down, all while being pepper sprayed.

Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you.
