This image shows a blue flag iris in a garden, surrounded by greenery. The iris appears just to the right of the center of the image, with one of its lower patterned petals opening directly toward the viewer. This petal is in very sharp focus, and we have a clear view of the details of it distinctive white and yellow pattering. Two other intensely blue petals with serrated edges extend above the first closer to the center of the flower, and are aslo sharply defined. Other parts of the flower, to the left, right, and above, are also brightly colored but less sharp due to limited depth of field. Two green, flat blades from the iris plant appear to the left and right of the flower, framing it; the tip of the left blade appears in the upper left corner, and the tip of the right in the lower right. The image is finished by a pleasing green and black bokeh in the background from more distant plants.

In 2019 a group of Bolivian indigenous women aka the “Climbing Cholitas” summitted Mount Aconcagua, Argentina (highest point - Southern Hemisphere) The women had previously worked for years as cooks for mostly rich male mountaineers. They climbed in traditional dress #WomensArt
