At 2.6m they are at the cheapest but still passable ceiling heights. You need to be over 3m before it’s luxury. Problem is…2.6m is generally greener. A terrible state of affairs tbh.

just heard Proc on R4:"We are of the left. I think many people who call themselves left now are what I would more describe as liberal. We're interested in the politics of the redistribution of wealth, stronger trade unions, better lives for working-class people. It's the old class politics" Fab :)

though whether it counts as "intersex" is disputed because the anatomy isn't ambiguous.

From puberty the testes progressively fail, causing low testosterone and, in most cases, infertility. Treatment is testosterone replacement. Medicine classifies people with KS as male, and nearly all identify as men. It's categorised as a sex chromosome DSD under the 2006 Chicago Consensus,

About 10–20% of cases are mosaic (some cells 46,XY, some 47,XXY), which usually means milder features. Because the Y chromosome carries the SRY gene, testes develop and babies are born with typical male anatomy.

I can help - Klinefelter syndrome (KS) is a sex chromosome variation, most commonly 47,XXY, found in roughly 1 in 500 to 1,000 male births. It usually happens by chance, when chromosomes fail to separate during egg or sperm formation (nondisjunction), and it isn't typically inherited.

The reason is the 25-26 referral-rate against England + unspecified concerns about referral and assessment process. Reported rates: ~13 per 100k Wales, 3 England, up to 4 Scotland. They’ve paused surgical referrals while an independent review looks at why the Welsh service referred at a higher rate

NWJCC’s Quality, Safety and Outcomes Committee escalated the Welsh Gender Service to Level 3 on 24 Aug. Paused are new surgical referrals, surgical assessments and already-booked operations. However worth noting hormone therapy, psychology and speech therapy continue.

Think the discourse on “lanyardian” is missing the far crazier part of this, which is that it’s a conversation between two people who now believe that saying “UK” is a weird, Starmer-like affectation. Margaret Thatcher used it, because it is literally the name of our country!

It’s amazing what happens when someone stops caring about groupthink in design and goes for it. I love it. Personally the whitespace padded jail of Gnome makes me vomit. Tells me a lot about someone when they say it’s peaceful.

Gnome is pretty ugly and, personally, I find it janky and padded. Gonna try Arch and Omarchy. Looks good and I like the idea of AI first. Even if it’s not that good I’ll be clean of that debased clean Open Source whitespace aesthetic. I love OSS but my god they don’t know anything about beauty.

I think the ultimate test of this is actually Boris Johnson. Boris *was fired from his first job* for making up stories, only to go on to be hired into a prestigious role at the Telegraph and spend years lying about the EU at Brussels. And I mean literally lying here; not bad punditry.

also there's two separate sets of accusations for Arday; he got the TES story - done by legitimate journalists and credible academics - killed by legal threats, and then an online racist stumbled upon the material separately.

I enjoyed The Odyssey (2026) but I have one historical nitpick. The phrase “Jiminy Christmas” is a minced oath for “Jesus Christ”. As the story is set around 1200 B.C. it is unlikely that Odysseus would have said the phrase even once, let alone the dozens of times he says it in the film
