Dr Arday’s tragic death was the direct, foreseeable result of press harrassment, with racism playing a key role We're asking the prime minister to commission an immediate public inquiry ito ensure we never see a tragic death like Dr Arday's again goodlaw.social/n1ck

Imagine a Labour Councillor reposted a call for a Reform MP to be shot.. OMG the furore that’d follow BBC’s Mason & Kuensberg would run headline “Starmer sanctions political assassinations” MSM would call for Starmer to quit & the Councillor fired No such furore when Reform do it & he’s not fired😡

5. Forgive my cynicism, but what we have before us does not look to me like a glowing paragon of consistent values and selfless behaviour. It looks like someone who will stop at very little to gain power, even if he hasn’t the faintest idea what to do with it when it arrives.

4. His ruthlessness as Director of Public Prosecutions sat oddly with his history as a defence lawyer. People remarked on it at the time. Perhaps human rights was not in fact soaked into his fabric, but something else was. Ambition. By any means.

3. Now, I can’t look into Starmer’s soul. I don’t know what his motivations and strategy might have been. But if you wanted to map out a career path that took you from law to public recognition to power, this is as good as any.

2. There are many brilliant and selfless human rights lawyers, and their role is indispensable. But it’s also the case that if you want a high public profile in law, human rights is the way to go. Think about it: most of the lawyers you’ve heard of are human rights lawyers.

1. People struggle to reconcile Keir Starmer’s ruthless ambition, Machiavellian manoeuvres, breaking of promises, collaboration in genocide, bans on protest, aid cuts, benefit cuts and war on nature with his history as a human rights lawyer. But perhaps there is no contradiction. Read on.🧵

This sentence was taken out of a lecture they commissioned, reviewed through the full editorial process, and recorded four weeks ago in front of 500 people in the BBC Radio Theatre. I was told the decision came from the highest levels within the BBC. /2

Dominic Cummings, in an earlier incarnation, ran a secretly-funded 'think tank' dedicated to attacking the Beeb while Robbie Gibb glided effortlessly from GBNews to the BBC & started lecturing staff on impartiality. Imagine (cos you'll have to) how the 'left-wing' equivalent would be reported.

I am horrified by the images of a mosque in Peacehaven burning after a suspected arson attack. Everyone should be able to worship free from fear and terror. Islamophobia is totally unacceptable. Those who spread hatred and incite violence against Muslim communities must stop.

If you look at the state of the UK when the Tories left power last year, Labour have since made Britain a significantly more hostile place to be if you're an immigrant. It's not even close. (We can argue forever about what the Tories *might* have gone on to do. I am talking about what they did.)
