Royal Mail has been told that it could save £650m by only delivering things 3 days a week. Did you know that the taxpayer could save £4,000m a year if Royal Mail had never been privatised, or if it was renationalised, and deliver 5 days a week. I'd go with that.

New from me: Nigel Farage has called on Labour to emphatically rule out any deals with the Green Party following their decision to equate Zionism with racism.
Writing exclusively in the JC he says: "Britain has no shortage of political differences. We argue fiercely about tax, social care and energy. Those are all legitimate debates.
Equating the existence of the world's only Jewish state with racism is not. It is a descent into the oldest and ugliest of prejudices masquerading as progressive virtue.
I will not tolerate sectarian politics or the importation of fundamentalism into our once vibrant democracy. Neither should Labour."
Speaking to the JC anonymously, several Labour figures are frustrated that their party hasn't emphatically ruled out an alliance.
One former minister told me: "I'm no fan of Nigel Farage, but he's absolutely correct here".

Banning Sally Rooney isn't about books - it's silencing influential voices advocating for justice. Pure fear-mongering. Shame on Labour. Then again, there is not much to be expected from the same party that called Action Palestine "terrorists" for wanting the UK to stop complicity in genocide.

Sometimes, people were getting quite horrible abuse. But you’d be surprised at how many times people would talk about how they were being hounded by trolls and thugs, and then you’d look and really, they were just being annoyed by people disagreeing with them.

A straight play-by-play repeat of the 2010s bullshit here. A general tip here, and not specific to this example: something I noticed back then that was helpfully clarifying was… you can type someone’s at-name into some social media platforms and then see what replies they’re getting.
Sky News understands Polanski supports
Lucas's right to be in the party and
acknowledges she has received abuse online - but asked what his response was to the messages directed at Lucas, a Green Party spokesperson said: "Of course Zack condemns online abuse."
The response has provoked criticism from some party members for not being strong enough. One told Sky News: "If we tolerate this behaviour we risk creating a party where policy is decided by those who are most comfortable with online harassment, with all others being bullied in to silence. The only way to stop this is through leadership and unity."
Another Green insider said: "The idea that one of our most important figures could be pushed out for expressing a political view in a fair and considered manner is a sign of how much the culture inside the party needs to change.
"Headquarters needs to urgently get a grip and unequivocally state that Caroline Lucas is a valued and important member of the community."
