Before I was locked out of my account I posted a picture of my 1st ripe tomato. I can now report that it's been a bumper crop this year that has made all the watering through the drought. Today's haul of 2 1/2 lbs just the latest. Now to roast them with garlic, basil & olive oil and freezing them

Paddy on Broadcasting house another who doesn't understand insulation. If a house is well insulated it will keep heat in if the inside is warmer than the outside but also keep heat out if the outside is warmer. The problem comes in keeping the sun out. We need external shutters with roof fans

An unelected Peer accuses an MP of not understanding the Parliament Acts #BBCToday because he still doesn't want us to have assisted deaths. AD has the support of a large majority of voters. I'd suggest that the 'noble lord' doesn't understand democracy. Time to abolish the Lords?

This morning our walk took us along the Tees upstream from Piercebridge. Here are some pics. Does anyone know what the dark red flowers are. They're growing in a strip left for nature along the edge of a ploughed field. I suspect an escapee
