Shadow energy secretary Claire Coutinho keeps saying the "UK is the only country in the world banning new oil and gas licenses". It's completely untrue. Denmark, France, Spain & Ireland have all done the same. She went completely unchallenged on Talk this AM when she repeated it.

You are correct. A small amount for maintenance. However we are free from companies making a profit off folk visiting or working at a hospital with a car. That's a political choice, that could be made elsewhere in the UK.

Well the parking is free now. The Scottish Gov bought out the parking contracts of the 3 PFI (Privately Funded Initiative) hospitals that were still charging. Cost £35m. The NHS Boards cover the maintenance. Our tax + national insurance amounts to just below or above 25% depending what you earn.
