If England decide to vote to go back into EU then I suggest that England Wales and Scotland go back in as independent countries. NI will get in through Irish unification. England should not be allowed to negotiate our assets so they can get back in

It shouldn’t have come to this. Why are the Scottish Greens having to force a vote on a moratorium when John Swinney and the SNP could have acted themselves? If there are genuine concerns about hyperscale data centres putting pressure on Scotland’s resources why wait to be forced into action?

I think Mr Swinney should take the SNP members proposed plans seriously and at least give them a fair hearing. If he doesn’t support them, it would be helpful to explain why. We all want a credible way forward for indy, especially when there doesn’t appear to be an alternative plan on the table.

No matter the mandate of the Scottish People at the ballot box, to no more to make a ruling on their constitutional future. The autocratic UK Government of the day whatever the Unionist Party in power will ignore it. The sooner the SNP recognise that and formulate a course of action the better.

We need a campaign (and GE29 could provide that focus if the SNP/Greens/Yes choose it). It is obvious WM are not interested in discussing a framework to another indyref & consequently the SNP et al has to turn up the dial; existing “do minimal” strategies aren’t working.

The underlying criticism of the SNP is that after many years in government it has become somewhat detached from its original grassroots and independence-focused purpose. And, above all, it requires a renewed sense of purpose beyond managing a devolved Scottish Parliament on behalf of Westminster.

There’s very little doubt that BiS, along with many other groups, are doing a sterling job of keeping the independence movement moving forward. The sticking point is the need for that same level of commitment and action from the Scottish Government. That’s something I really hope we see change.

It’s common knowledge why Scotland needs independence. Since 2014, the SNP and Scottish Greens have stood for Holyrood elections 3 times on a manifesto pledge of independence and deliver indyref2. So where’s the pressure? What’s the plan? The independence movement needs more than the status quo.

We cannot afford to sit back and simply accept "no" for an answer yet again. Another Holyrood election campaign asking for both votes SNP or a second vote for the Greens is not what we want to hear. Restore our faith in the cause for independence with a credible plan forward, or step aside.
