"The podium was there. The press wasn’t. Premier Doug Ford has increasingly been attending what appear to be government announcements without inviting reporters. A review by The Trillium has found at least 5 examples since mid-May, when this practice appeared to become more frequent." 👀 #OnPoli
On those five occasions, social media posts show photos and videos of Ford standing at, or next to, government-branded ‘Protect Ontario’ podiums. Corresponding media advisories were never issued to reporters.

It is unclear if the microphones at the podiums were plugged in, as no remarks from the announcements were ever posted, livestreamed or made publicly available in any format. It’s also unclear who was invited to attend the events.

Anyone drive past the old Science Centre site lately? Heard DeGasperis has heavy equipment on site behind the building, just south of his own development. Also heard comings and goings on site are under a lot of security. He is almost finished developing the parcel in red now.
