Unpopular opinion: I quite like goal music even when in the stadium. Especially at Palace when often the goal music will be different depending on who scores and it starts that player's chant. Organic celebration can sometimes go flat very quickly if you're in certain parts of the ground.

Palace have limited their managerial options by spending three years recruiting very specifically for a 3-4-2-1. There aren't many good coaches who use that system. There are also several players who I'd be uncomfortable having in a back four.

The things I am expecting of Palace today, and they're very sensible expectations, are probably beyond their capability. There's a hell of a lot to dissect and blame to go in various places, but ultimately whatever strategy was in place in May was either bad or has failed. Neither is good.

PL rules prevent a club signing a player and loaning them straight to another PL club. Feels like Chelsea/Palace are exploiting a loophole with which I don't feel hugely comfortable by technically loaning Ahanor from Atalanta before he joins Chelsea. What are Palace gaining from that?
