Very much appreciating Salman Anwar’s photo of The Shard in the UK, which he points out they’ve tried to make festive and instead made look menacingly evil.

It’s The Shard photographed from below at night. It stands among other skyscrapers. Some of its windows are lit up, others are blacked out. The spires at the top are lot lit up in bright neon red. This is supposed to look festive but instead it basically looks like the Eye of Sauron. It’s giving evil villain lair vibes. It does not help that the red light is reflected in the clouds above, giving the sky an evil looking eerie red glow. Doctor Doom would reject this place as being too on the nose. Magneto would tell them to tone it down a bit. It’s evil in building form.

Being a perfectionist in your writing is the default setting for new writers. We all start that way. But when you’re building a house, you don’t paint it as you go. You lay a foundation, build a structure, put in the wiring & pipes, build the walls and lay the floors, THEN you can think about paint.

Do folks not know about spoons as a disability term? If you see folks talking about not having enough spoons this is what it’s from: www.verywellhealth.com/what-is-spoo...

The theory suggests that people living with chronic illness, chronic pain, or disability have a limited amount of energy (represented by spoons) to spend on completing tasks on any given day. This means people living with chronic health conditions have to make many difficult, energy-consuming choices about how to spend their limited energy.
How many spoons it takes a person to complete a given task can vary considerably from day to day, too. This can make planning for future events more challenging when you're unsure of how many spoons you may have at a future date.
