We went back for a second helping of tree therapy yesterday. This path up the hill was one of the highlights. Not just from the joy of a natural tunnel but the sound of our feet crunching on beech nut pods and buzzards being chased off by crows overhead.

Tiny #booksky 📚💙 review. 'Conform' by Ariel Sullivan. Thoroughly enjoyable dystopian sci-fi. A little formulaic in parts. If they'd ditched the love triangle and just focused on the system arranged partnering alone I think this could have been something truly special. Will keep an eye on this author

Story time at the local library. A toddler refused to budge past the door. All she wanted was the balloons outside. In the end a librarian freed one for her and she carried it inside triumphantly. She's hugging it now as she listens to the story.

I just read a third or possibly fourth news article where the reality of an 'AI has discovered something marvellous!' story turns out to be GenAI somehow accessed material it had no permissions for, which was the outcome of an expert's years of work, and presented it without attribution. Tiny #Booksky 📚 Review: I, Medusa by Ayana Gray. I. Could. Not. Put. This. Down. Devoured it in 48 hours. Magnificent. Starts off with a very YA fiction tone and then becomes even more. Oh so much more. Devastating and beautiful. 10 out of 10, would ugly-cry again. Give it a read.
