Really appreciating how unabashedly weird Control Resonant is A lot of the new Hiss enemies look straight out of a Dan Peacock painting it's crazyyyy to see that particular kind of bizarre body horror in a big budget AAA title And I am eating it all up with a very big spoon. Perhaps two.

Always fun drawing off photo ref I took, only to find that part of the pose looks insane and wrong when drawn. Like there's a difference between reality and our brain's perception of the human body that has to be accounted for sometimes. This happens most often, for me, with fingers.

I find that focusing time, thoughts, and energy on the despair— what hurts, what I don't have, what could have been, etc.— empowers it. Grows it like a mind-tumor. But it's so hard to shift my thoughts away from that, sometimes. I'm getting better but it is so hard.

Finally getting to the post-Hellbound Hellraiser movies, and am seeing why I was warned away from them for so long. It's a shame how most writers after Barker cast aside the BDSM and queerness of it all. How the cenobites go from ambiguously awful or beautiful beings to literal Demons from Hell.

The Hellraiser: Revival demo was real promising! I'm excited! It's got the proper amount of sex, violence, and camp I'd want out of this. Sooooooo happy to see the Hellraiser Labyrinth in a video game too, it's one of my favorite horror locales. I just think it's really cool!

Something I think every artist can relate to, especially on a new job, is the feeling of being humbled by your own perceived skill level and overcoming it. To those who didn't know (like me), Mixam has a new "Add bundling" option when placing an order. Easy to miss if you're doing a re-order. If you don't add bundling, the games might be loose in the box, and you might be dealing with 1/3 of your copies arriving damaged (also like me).

Hundreds of copies of Anamnesis separated into piles on the floor. The piles have labeled sticky notes in front of them that describe the damage.

As I've gotten older, I'd stopped finding any catharsis in the suffering of bad people. Not that I don't want them to face justice – even violent justice if that is the only way that person can be stopped – but this collective need for retribution effectively through torture does not appeal to me.
