Seem to recall when the Biden admin was (misleadingly) accused of putting pressure on social media companies to change their editorial policies (most of which were rejected) we were told by a large segment of the population (and a few judges) that it was the worst violation of the 1st Amendment ever

Today we learned that in June the US economy lost jobs for the first time since 2020. We haven’t seen this kind of net job loss since - well, since the last time Trump was in charge.

This story is WILD. Trump sent Seal Team 6 into North Korea to plant a listening device. The entire thing went sideways within minutes of landing when they noticed a fishing boat near the beach. They killed everyone on board, sunk the bodies to cover their tracks, and fled. Congress was never told.
If the SEALs were unsure whether the mission had been compromised before they fired, they had no doubt afterward. The plan required the SEALs to abort immediately if they encountered anyone. North Korean security forces could be coming. There was no time to plant the device.

The shore team swam to the boat to make sure that all of the North Koreans were dead. They found no guns or uniforms. Evidence suggested that the crew, which people briefed on the mission said numbered two or three people, had been civilians diving for shellfish. All were dead, including the man in the water.

Officials familiar with the mission said the SEALs pulled the bodies into the water to hide them from the North Korean authorities. One added that the SEALs punctured the boat crew’s lungs with knives to make sure their bodies would sink.

The press grilled Biden over bike rides and coughs, but when it comes to Trump’s health, they toss him garbage questions like Peter Doocy’s: “How did you find out you were dead?” That’s not journalism, that’s the most ridiculous, toothless version of a question, served up that way on purpose.

There was no legal or moral justification for the Trump-ordered boat bombing that killed 11 Venezuelans. It could be just the start.

That's assuming there's any accountability even under oath. Every right-wing Supreme Court Justice said Roe was settled law, how'd that turn out? Trump nominees regularly get up in front of Congress and butcher the truth. I haven't seen any perjury convictions.

DOJ is openly stating that "trannies shouldn't have guns." The Trump administration is moving to strip trans people of their 2nd amendment rights. Nothing good ever comes out of an authoritarian regime stripping a minority group of owning guns.
Screenshot of three tweets from Mary Margaret Olohan.

First tweet: “I’m told that a senior DOJ official said, discussing the matter: ‘We’re not playing semantics with words like dysphoria. We’re talking about trannies, and we don’t think they should have guns.’” This is a quote-tweet of her earlier post.

Second tweet: “BREAKING: The Justice Department is deliberating banning guns for transgenders as part of a range of options blocking mentally unstable individuals from committing acts of violence, @realDailyWire has learned. Story to come.”

Third tweet: “ ‘Individuals within the DOJ are reviewing ways to ensure that mentally ill individuals suffering from gender dysphoria are unable to obtain firearms while they are unstable and unwell,’ one source inside the Justice Department tells me.” Attached is a photo of a woman speaking at a podium. The image caption reads: “BREAKING: Trump DOJ Deliberates Over Gun Ban For Transgenders” with “From dailywire.com” below.

JUST IN: Harvard won summary judgment against the Trump administration with the court finding that the admin violated Harvard's 1st amend. rights. The court has vacated the funding freeze orders and termination letters and issued a permanent injunction. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
[cite_start]A screenshot of the first page of a court document from the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts[cite: 3]. [cite_start]The document is titled "MEMORANDUM AND ORDER" [cite: 43] [cite_start]and was filed on September 3, 2025[cite: 1].

The document lists two related civil actions:
* [cite_start]**Civil Action No. 25-cv-11048-ADB**: President and Fellows of Harvard College, et al., Plaintiffs, v. United States Department of Health and Human Services, et al., Defendants[cite: 4, 5, 14, 17, 21].
* [cite_start]**Civil Action No. 25-cv-10910-ADB**: American Association of University Professors - Harvard Chapter, et al., Plaintiffs, v. United States Department of Justice, et al., Defendants[cite: 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 36].

[cite_start]The order is from Judge Burroughs, D.J.[cite: 44]. [cite_start]The text begins by identifying the plaintiffs in the consolidated cases[cite: 45].A screenshot of pages 81 and 82 from a court order, detailing the judge's rulings and the relief granted.

**Rulings:**
* **For Harvard's case:** The court grants Harvard's motion for summary judgment on several counts, including violations of the First Amendment and Title VI. It grants in part Harvard's motion regarding the "Freeze Orders" and grants in part the defendants' motion regarding the "Termination Letters," citing a lack of jurisdiction.
* **For the Organizational Plaintiffs' case:** The court grants the plaintiffs' motion for summary judgment on their First Amendment claims and denies the defendants' cross-motion on several counts. The ruling on the "Freeze Orders" and "Termination Letters" mirrors the one in Harvard's case.

**Ordered Relief:**
1. The court vacates and sets aside the Freeze Orders as arbitrary and capricious.
2. The court vacates and sets aside the Freeze Orders and Termination Letters as violations of the First Amendment.
3. The court vacates and sets aside the Termination Letters as violations of Title VI.
4. The court permanently enjoins the defendants from implementing the Freeze Orders, Termination Letters, and their unconstitutional conditions.

Donald Trump prides himself on giving Huntsville, AL the cool nickname of "Rocket City." This article is from the The Huntsville Times of 13 May 1953, when Donald Trump was six years old.
'The Rocket City' To Be Huntsville's Newest Nickname
"The Rocket City" will be Huntsville's new and unofficial nickname, commeneing next week with the arrival of new pamphlets advertising the city.
The pamphlets are sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.
The cover, streamlined and colorful, depicts a rocket setting sail for the moon from the earth.
Within the folder are many scenes of Huntsville, its industries, hospital, schools and landmarks, plus brief descriptions and statistical data.
Jimmy Walker, secretary of the chamber, said 35,000 folders were ordered, and the first shipment is scheduled to arrive the first of next week.
The old pamphlet advertising the city had dubbed Huntsville as the "heart of the Tennessee Val-ley."
