Death threats are more than just trolls and keyboard warriors - they seek to make people smaller, make them afraid to speak their values, and push them out of politics altogether They cost us time and money, and the donations are already stacked against us. It's time for us to have a real democracy

Their voters who are already on super won't care and they're the type that will happily pull up the ladder behind them. They've done it with every other social benefit they've received.

Seven Sisters London Underground station is named after a ring of 7 elm trees that were planted over 400 years ago. The 7 trees have been replanted a number of times, always by 7 sisters. The current sisters are Hornbeam trees & were planted in 1997 by 5 families of 7 sisters.

Absolutely bizarre that the article makes no reference to the lack of 1 news coverage on Friday on the TPU poll & Luxon future when is was the lead story everywhere else. Obvious behaviour of an organisation scared it would upset the govt & board and that this interference was having desired impact

The idea to make infrastructure non-political is absolutely rubbish. Infrastructure spending is all about choice and priorities. Some want to spend a couple of bn. on a rail enabled future proofed link between our 2 main islands. Others want to spend 4bn to cut 10mins off their trip to the airport.

I am surprised more has been made of the impotence of Luxon. Both Costello and McKee would both have been sacked under any other Government. Luxon is so scared of Peters and Seymour he does nothing and happy to let corruption run wild so he can be 'Prime minister' , in name anyway.

This UK election result just highlights how fucking stupid FPP is. Labour are going to have 65% of the mps while getting only 35% of the vote. While I am loving the Tories getting shafted. The landslide narrative is true in result only. Labour share of the national vote up a pathetic 2%.

I feel for the people impacted by the power outage. But find it very funny that when the govt is looking to push privatisation this fuck up was done by a private company. Also ACT looking to remove red tape and pesky h&s regulations like 'don't undo all the nuts at once'
