I recommend returning your marked ballot in a local dropbox rather than via USPS if your jurisdiction has those option. (This requires that you be present in your home area; dropboxes from other counties won’t generally ensure you ballot will be received and counted).

Switched to #OpenLogi for my #logitech devices, and it's good. Annoying that it takes a few seconds/minutes when resuming from sleep to set the mouse DPI, but it's probably not a show stopper. Feels good supporting a #rust project and saving hundreds of MB of RSS space.

I have a rough floorplan with measurements on it. I cannot convince any #Codex or #Gemini to make a to-scale bitmap or structured (e.g. draw.io) file with it. Crazy output in my tests. Grr. Wish somebody would give me a good suggestion that works so I don't have to do this manually. 😀

Got a #ZBT2 to use with #homeassistant , and it's really... weird, at least when running in a container. HA detects the device, but seems hard coded to always update the firmware (even if that's a downgrade!), and also hard coded to use /dev/ttyACM1? This can't be real. After adjusting the […]

Switched my #homeassistant AI Task default for telling me what's on the security camera from #GoogleGemini to #nvidia #Nemotron3 since Google kept throwing 503 "model is overloaded" errors. No real change in behavior, and I'm far from the rate limits for the free account. Yay!

Just had the creepiest scam ever happen
| got a call from my wife telling me she forgot her
wallet and needed the credit card to pay for her gas.
Except my wife was at home with me, and drives a Tesla.
Same voice, bit... off, weird cadence but 100% sounded
just like her. If she wasn't there, and it wasn't about
gas | would have fallen for it.
| entertained it for awhile to get more out of it, | was so
confused. Must be some sort of voice deepfake.
The responses were too fast for ai, | think it was a voice
filter. | wish | had thought to record it.

Hurricane Dolly now has a high chance of forming in the Tropical Atlantic.

In an unbelievable coincidence, Dolly is the next name on the Atlantic hurricane list, and country music legend Dolly Parton passed away today at age 80 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Invest 96L currently has a 70% chance of development as it moves across the Tropical Atlantic.

If this system becomes a tropical storm, it will be named Dolly.
