It’s a luxury but there is nothing wrong with wanting a luxury for yourself if it makes you feel better. Like, anyone who judges you for getting a haircut can get in the bin, right next to whoever judges me for not getting one.

I could afford to pay for haircuts but by and large just don’t want to. I do my own colour so cutting is not a huge step. No shame in it, and I don’t think any professional would judge when you eventually buy their services. (This post is brought to you by too many Brad Mondo binges)

I have not looked too deeply into the edtech school uses from that perspective (getting enough hives from the functional aspects without looking too deeply into the nonfunctional stuff and its not really like we have a choice). I just hope that parentpay is a reasonably secure provider.

Cyber insurance often isn’t really worth the paper it’s printed on if you look at the actual risk you look to cover, which goes further than just any ransom. Our kids’ academy trust has all their IT shut down for several weeks a couple of years ago due to ransomware.

Tbf my knowledge extends to if it is digital I check in with infosec and if it involves the processing of data I get the DPO in for due diligence and if I’m not sure I check in with them just in case. I will not assume they are not needed, I let them confirm that
