This past spring, the flu very nearly killed a friend of mine - young guy, in great shape, baby on the way, he was in the hospital for weeks with multiple organ failure. It was a miracle he recovered and lived to hold his child. Get your flu shot, folks.

I have unlocked a new flying horror: After running for 15 minutes to make my connection, I sat down next to a man who kept scratching his head. Shortly into the flight, a small bug fell off his head, onto my book. It had six legs. Upon landing, I googled to determine it was a louse.
