This is perhaps the funniest way @spice8rack.bsky.social was right, one for the books.

We've seen people confused about what exactly is going away. Alchemy (the format) is going away. Alchemy (the cards) are staying. Rebalanced cards will be reverted. Oracle of the Alpha stays. You can play it in Historic/Timeless. Rebalanced 0/3 A-Symmetry Sage is reverting to 0/2 Symmetry Sage.

Scryfall is redefining what a card being "full-art" means in search, and adding a new term: Translucent. Since the introduction of the is:default and is:atypical designations, one issue has surfaced from their definitions: cards with translucent frames (Eldrazis) were not showing up as "default". 🧵

Alchemy cards aren't going anywhere. It's only the rebalanced cards, which use the same art as the originals.

Getting caught up on commissions. I’ve had a rough draft for Felothar since TDM preview season. Feels good to finally get a version of that out into the world

Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan
{W}{B}{G}
Legendary Creature — Human Warrior
Trample
Whenever Felothar enters or attacks, you may sacrifice a nonland permanent. When you do, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control.

It was even worse than this; Married women were often referred to not simply as “Mrs. [husband’s last name]” but as “Mrs. [husband’s first AND last name].” Both the title “Ms.” and the magazine were seismic.

Hi all! I've received many questions about the Zeta cards previewed today and their common rarity. These cards listed from SLZ (such as Baleful Strix, but there are more) will not change Pauper legality. Secret Lair reprints are not meant to impact Pauper. Thanks! #wotcstaff

Did you know that if you create a page on @mtg.wiki for a player who is popular with people on Bluesky that heaps of people will share it and that will build awareness and even might lead to new people who want to start writing about Pro Players creating wiki accounts to do that? Cool, right?

When it comes down to it for practical deckbuilding, you'll just be searching for e.g. bird typal anyway, and some of the bird typal will be on bird cards and some of it won't be.

There's an entire enormous family of card advantage tags: tagger.scryfall.com/tags/card/ca... But in general, no, there's no equivalent tag. We retired it as too difficult to actually manage and establish, so you need to filter the cards you'd want to play yourself.

That's intentional. The hand math tags (hand-positive, -neutral, -negative) were retired. It turned out to be a significant headache over the months we had it.

Okay here is my problem with this kind of design. It means nothing on its own. It only has ludo-narrative value as a reference to something else. It is empty in and of itself. It forgoes its own story in exchange for a weak icon or index of another story that cannot stand up on its own.

Safe to say if I start messaging you on discord asking you to download my game, I'm not the one doing that. I actually do make video games! I will not message you about playing them. If I do, you should make me bend over backwards to prove it's me. Nobody's above falling for a scam or a hack.
