Had some conversations in which I was the minority advocating that “high three” and “low three” are a bad heuristics for commander. After those conversations and the games played among the players discussing it I think I’m right. Mostly because I think the bracket system is about games not decks.

Okay here is my problem with this kind of design. It means nothing on its own. It only has ludo-narrative value as a reference to something else. It is empty in and of itself. It forgoes its own story in exchange for a weak icon or index of another story that cannot stand up on its own.
