Oh believe me. In Australia, our conservatives here, everytime they've been in government since we've had universal health care. Have tried to repeal it. But get knocked back by the senate where they normally have a minority. Only one time they had a majority in the 90s. But didn't try anything.

The upside of this is that many of the things we do to save money are also good for the environment: repair, re-use, re-purpose whatever we can before we replace; buy second-hand; make things; drive less; eat less meat & processed food; grow herbs, microgreens, sprouts & vegetables if & as we can..
