David Walker published An Appeal to the Colored Citizens of the World in pamphlet form in 1829. It's one of the most important and influential abolitionist texts in U.S. history. Yet, very few people have actually read it and many people don't know who Walker was especially among young people.

Trying to decide if butternut squash cake dessert will go with a curry salmon main dish (starting to go through the pantry here). And why do we have a huge can of spinach in the pantry? I personally prefer my spinach frozen, although with food safety these days, canned spinach might be safer.

Scott Edelman generously documented his struggle with MRM over rights grabs here. I recommend giving it a read. Scott is not alone. A lot of authors have basically sworn off Asimov's, Analog, and F&SF after all this persistent garbage.
