Using GenAI *reduces cognitive function*. The actual function of your brain. It reduces it. So when you use GenAI regularly for a task, you lose the ability to do the task without GenAI (just like if you used a machine to do your exercise for you, you would lose fitness and muscle).

The Free Speech Union having their CE and board member stand as candidates for Internet NZ and emailing their members to rank them 1 and 2 and not rank any other candidates feels like it should be more of a news story. It's antithetical to a genuine election and the democratic process.

Another way government austerity is failing healthcare and the NZ people. Underfunded Te Whatu Ora / Health NZ is cutting access to the Cochrane Library, a gold standard source of information to support health decision-making. NZers use it 246 times per day. #nzpol tinyurl.com/3jya8hkd

The Cochrane library is a global source of independent health evidence for everyone – why is NZ restricting access?
New Zealanders download Cochrane Library health reviews daily. Restricting access is a step back to when medical knowledge was held tightly by professionals.

The covid response in NZ was so good that there was NEGATIVE excess mortality in 2020-2022... Literally the best in the world.
Chart of excess mortality from 2020-2023. NZ shows no excess mortality over baseline during the first 3 years of Covid. Sweden, Taiwan, Singapore, and Australia show a moderate increase in excess mortality over that time frame. US shows significant increase in excess mortality.
