🧵 In 2025, book censorship in the United States is rampant and common. Never before in the life of any living American have so many books been systematically removed from school libraries across the country. Read our new report "The Normalization of Book Banning" at: pen.org/report/the-n...

Remember a few years ago when we found out that some moths emit ultrasonic clicks to jam bat sonar? Then recently we heard that some plants make ultrasonic clicks when dehydrated? Well now researchers have found that some moths HEAR those plant clicks and use them to decide where to lay eggs. 🪲🧪🌿🌎

Alexander the Great is gay???? 🤯🤯 well. anyway. here's my poetry book with queer alexander the great, furious mermaids, and an interlude where i take πολυτρόπως to mean Odysseus plays for both teams.
Alexandros, or
Dramatis Personae

ALEXANDER - prettyboy, wine-drunk, divine. His father’s son
[whoever that is].
THESSALONIKE - the mermaid with very, very sharp teeth.
Her grief, pure as a mirror.
CALLISTHENES - nephew of Aristotle, court historian,
I’m sure he’s just fine!!
FATHERS (PLURAL) - Freud is going to have something
 to say about this.
MOTHER - when Alexander conquered the world
his last (unfinished) desire was to see Olympia again.

HEPHAESTION - the only thing that ever conquered Alexander
[other than wine / temper / his 33rd year]
