"Don't be mean to people who just like Harry Potter" I will be. That conversation started and ended ten years ago. It no longer holds up to scrutiny. Over the span of a whole Decade, you were unwilling to resolve your dependence on an IP which solely acts as the bankrolling of a genocidal Nazi party

This pride month can we all stop assuming people in m/f relationships are straight? Like I just want everyone to remember bisexuals, pansexuals, and asexuals are all out there too. And dating someone of an opposite sex doesn't erase that. Still reeling over "hetslop" tbh what is this shit

i know it’s miserable having two mcotds right now but it is kinda funny to see the duality between posts about them. one is an unhinged and very potentially dangerous individual who we should be on alert for and the other gets a new clown-ass take turned into copypasta every day

My first crimes were the original naughtywvr patch wayyyyy back in the day. For. Obvious reasons I no longer use it. But I do still use a body mod. Most of my other mod use is rescales for said body mod, but I do use hairs and scales here and there as well.

Originally this collaboration was only supposed to be until they'd settled things in Garlemald. And then. You know. Endwalker happens. Nara is an Ascian. She has the Unsundered in tow. But she's also probably the only person who can actually get anything done right now. (3/3)

000

Saon @saon.etheirys.social · 17/10/2025

Bold is the single line I wrote while doing In From the Cold on Nara. This is barely, edited it was entirely meant as an examination of how she'd react. As for the aftermath? An incredibly uneasy, distrustful collaboration with the Scions and the Alliance for the duration of Endwalker. (2/3) #ficwip

A snippet from a text document. In bold text it reads: “This is such a pain in the ass.” Stuffed into a body not her own, forced to listen to Fandaniel’s prattle. The weakness of frail garlean flesh resisting every effort she made to rebuild pathways to her aether. The text from here is no longer bold and reads: “Oh, dear! Whatever would happen if my lord were to greet your friends as you? I—”

“In Zodiark’s name.” She snarled. “Shut your fucking mouth for once in your life Fandaniel.” Glyph flaring upon her borrowed face, her efforts at last proving fruitful. “Whatever it is you're plotting, hidden away from the oversight of Elidibus and Emet-Selch, know that they will not look kindly upon it.”

“You—”

“Oh dear! Did your lord not tell you?” She mimicked his irritating whine. “If you think my disappearance will go unnoticed, you are sorely mistaken. To answer your inane question, the Scions are like to attack him on sight.”
The "oh dear!" in the final paragraph is italicised for emphasis.

Saon @saon.etheirys.social · 17/10/2025

By the time In From the Cold happens, if it happens, Nara has been Azem for quite some time, and is capable of body-hopping on her own. Fandaniel does not know this. She eventually manages to slip the bonds that hold her in the corpse, and takes Zenos' body instead. Fair's fair, after all. (1/3)

Nara has always had memories of the world unsundered, even if she didn't know that's what they were. There's a reason she needed no convincing to turn her back on all of that and take her seat. She's angry, she's jaded, she's *tired*. She wants to go home, even if that home hasn't existed for eons.

000

Saon @saon.etheirys.social · 10/10/2025

There *is* vitriol towards her in my writing. From the perspective of a WoL who feels like she's only ever been used. From a WoL who hates that she wasn't allowed to die. From a WoL who didn't even believe in the goddess she was supposed to be serving and didn't *want* to be serving her.

With a couple WIPs nearing enough completion that I'm considering starting to post I feel I almost definitely need to say this before people come for my head. My opinions of Venat/Hydaelyn are nuanced; she's not perfect or infallible, but she's also not the worst thing ever. Nara however? HATES her.

Shadowbringers AU where everything's the same except Emet comes with you to Nabaath Areng looking like this. He only helps by telling you breadcrumb-level hints, and spends most of the time complaining #art | #ffxivart | #ffxiv | #emet-selch

A drawing of Emet-Selch from Final Fantasy 14. He stands in an overly-bright, arid environment, looking off to the side with an impatient look on his face, possibly speaking to an off-camera Warrior of Light or a Scion. He wears sunglasses and is holding up a frilly black parasol that shields him from the overwhelming amount of light in the area. The sky is awash with unending light, and small light particles float around in the air.

Bonus: This is part of the reason she is not an acn/smn/sch at *all* in her primary timeline. Though I've been toying with the idea that she might dabble in an AU where she's forced to restart, after a comparison between her clumsy concept matrices and arcanima.

000

Saon @saon.etheirys.social · 03/09/2025

Nara was 30. There was little reason to learn such a skill on the Steppe. Tataru offered to teach her when she joined the Scions, she was 25 and deemed it not worth the time, but she did learn her numbers. She did not so much learn as instead came by the knowledge after ascendance to her seat.

110

Saon @saon.etheirys.social · 30/08/2025

Nara is 4'9.5". Depending on which model you reference, Hades is between 6'4" and 6'7", so he has almost 2 fulms on her.

000

Saon @saon.etheirys.social · 29/08/2025

Regardless of which though; a major deviation from canon occurs, in which the Warrior of Light is *gone* from the timeline completely.

010

Saon @saon.etheirys.social · 29/08/2025

Might play around with some of these actually, since the writer's block on the smut i've been trying to write is *real* rn. Trying real hard to keep them both in character but also at the whims of long dormant magick is apparently quite difficult.

Saon @saon.etheirys.social · 29/08/2025

Option 1: She greets Lahabrea in Thancreds body as honoured speaker and we go from there. Potential catastrophe. Option 2: She seeks common ground with Gaius which is a much more open defection Option 3: We make it through base ARR otherwise unchanged and she defers to Elidibus in the Solar instead.

Saon @saon.etheirys.social · 29/08/2025

As long as Nara retains the majority of her memories, being shoved into the place of her younger self would change *everything*. She would assist, but avoid formally joining the scions and would seek audience with Emet-Selch as soon as possible. I have a couple ideas bouncing around as to how.

Nara is min height femra at 4'9.5". I'm yet to fully decide for Persephone (Azem), but I'm thinking somewhere around 5'8", still short compared to her partners but a much more ~average~ height.

010

Saon @saon.etheirys.social · 25/08/2025

If Nara is baking cookies there is no spoon, she's using her hands. Cakes and other batter based sweets, she'll absolutely lick the spoon or at least wipe the batter off with her fingers and then lick those. (I've only ever used spoons for shaping cookie dough and for measures, never for mixing it.)

If you're gonna do this dude, pass it on to the friend who has absolutely no stakes in this project bc he does not play xiv but actually knows and uses c# for his actual job.

Just venting. Partner is losing his mind trying to parse enough c# to spin up a self-hosted, private mare instance for our tiny friend group. I regret getting clones of the repos tbh. I'd have been happy enough with pcps, but apparently that's "too much work". It's less fucking work than this, dude.
