Bold is the single line I wrote while doing In From the Cold on Nara. This is barely, edited it was entirely meant as an examination of how she'd react. As for the aftermath? An incredibly uneasy, distrustful collaboration with the Scions and the Alliance for the duration of Endwalker. (2/3) #ficwip

A snippet from a text document. In bold text it reads: “This is such a pain in the ass.” Stuffed into a body not her own, forced to listen to Fandaniel’s prattle. The weakness of frail garlean flesh resisting every effort she made to rebuild pathways to her aether. The text from here is no longer bold and reads: “Oh, dear! Whatever would happen if my lord were to greet your friends as you? I—”

“In Zodiark’s name.” She snarled. “Shut your fucking mouth for once in your life Fandaniel.” Glyph flaring upon her borrowed face, her efforts at last proving fruitful. “Whatever it is you're plotting, hidden away from the oversight of Elidibus and Emet-Selch, know that they will not look kindly upon it.”

“You—”

“Oh dear! Did your lord not tell you?” She mimicked his irritating whine. “If you think my disappearance will go unnoticed, you are sorely mistaken. To answer your inane question, the Scions are like to attack him on sight.”
The "oh dear!" in the final paragraph is italicised for emphasis.

Originally this collaboration was only supposed to be until they'd settled things in Garlemald. And then. You know. Endwalker happens. Nara is an Ascian. She has the Unsundered in tow. But she's also probably the only person who can actually get anything done right now. (3/3)
