Wow. I did not know there’s a market-for-ideas in comedy and that Australia’s two most famous exports revolve around wine and…dick tricks.

this story is crazy. also, looks like academia's not so obsolete after all.
I said that if OpenAI released its result in the way proposed I would go
public with what happened. The reply was, “Why would you ruin your career?”
I replied that I am an academic, and asked why he thought going public would
ruin my career. The reply was, “If you don’t want me to be nice, then I don’t
have to be nice.”

A weird side effect of AI that can make legal workflow less efficient than in pre-AI days www.ft.com/content/9877...
Another problematic consequence for lawyers is that some clients have become so cautious about the risks of their sensitive data being fed into large language models that they have used tech tools to prevent their lawyers from downloading and even printing the information. In some cases that has forced law firms to assign more associates to a case and work in a less
efficient way than in the pre-AI era.

So much shirt pulling. The first team that tucks in their shirt is going to gain a huge World Cup competitive advantage. Next they’ll realise that the onesie is the dominant clothing strategy.
