They are not sending their best. We need to hold SD4, maybe you can help make sure our next Moorhead Senator isn’t setting the bar at…not pouring gas into a lake? ➡️ Kupec4mnsenate.com

A GOP state Senate candidate in Minnesota (Austin Peterson) was asked during a debate what he's done to ensure clean water in his community, and his answer was bizarre: "When we put gasoline in our boats, we're putting that gasoline in on the shore and not in the lake. So I mean, it's small things."

Vote yes! Passing the MN constitutional amendment on this year’s ballot will increase funding to all public schools including about $1,000,000 per year to Minneapolis Public Schools. Don’t skip it - leaving this question blank is the same as voting no. (PS - Edison scored!)

Exactly! Give me a Jennifer Coolidge reference!

Salena @salena.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I only wish this explained that the reference came from the 1998 raunchy teen comedy “American Pie” starring Jason Biggs and Seann William Scott.

3y/o is very into knock knock jokes but seems to think they’re literally about greeting someone at your door. 3: Knock knock! Me: Who’s there? 3: Ghost! Me: Ghost who? 3: I’m coming into your house! Replace “ghost” with anything she can think of.

I decided to start getting flowers for my kitchen each week as just a nice thing to do for myself. We’re in week 2 and this morning I woke up to a moth caterpillar on a mum that was now covered in frass. TGIF.

The orthodontist called my son’s teeth, “interesting.” The dentist said “Huh.” The oral surgeon called them “fascinating.” What I hear:

i am incredibly excited to share our research about how paying people’s rent through mutual aid made an impact on minnesota this year we accidentally collected more data than anyone ever has for an effort like this, and can very seriously say we prevented an eviction bubble that everyone expected

I might start a collection of AI State Capitols or AI old flags. They are always utter nonsense and it makes me laugh (while also crying a little over this dystopia, of course)!

010

Of course, wish we had. But a lot of positive movement has happened since.

He said in his ‘26 speech that his position changed. I wouldn’t say he “blocked” it in 23 though, there were many contributing factors; bill language wasn’t really ready, it didn’t move through committee, more legislators had heartburn, etc. We did red flag laws and universal bkgd checks that year.

100

Nope! It passed through the Senate 34-33, but then Lisa Demuth blocked it (literally hid it in a drawer) from being brought up in the house.

I really will never get over how disgusting it felt to have to deal with awful misinformation (egged on by the literal president) in the wake of Melissa and Mark Hortman’s murder. It’s so twisted and only deepens the trauma for everyone who has to live it.

When the story of Metro Surge is told in media, don't for a moment, through the outpouring of solidarity and community building, despite the heroism, forget that it sucked ass every single day and some days it was like the sun had been blocked from the world

We stand a real shot at flipping this district, with such a quality candidate in Mark Legvold and an incumbent who is way too extreme for his constituents. I encourage you to learn more about Mark: www.legvold4mnsenate58.com And donate here if you're able: secure.actblue.com/donate/mark-...

Bill Lieske not only suggests that Jan. 6 was a hoax, he voted not on everything from saving rural pharmacies, to expanding property tax refunds, joked "oh no, not my Medicaid" on his podcast, is an anti-abortion extremist, and of course wants medical exams for kids playing sports, and much more.

Gotta boost this story on the Senate race in SD58. Mark Legvold is a phenomenal candidate; a farmer, former SPPS teacher, veteran, and just about as likeable as a guy can get. Meanwhile, Bill Lieske is among the most extreme in his own party and only won by 5. www.minnpost.com/elections/20...

It’s just malpractice if the Strib doesn’t do a real examination of what a Republican Attorney General would mean, instead of centering all of its coverage on DFL vulnerabilities. www.startribune.com/minnesota-at...

startribune.com

Keith Ellison wants to run on fighting Trump. Republicans want to make it about fraud.

Republican Ron Schutz is betting Ellison’s vulnerabilities can flip an attorney general’s race expected to be among Minnesota’s closest this fall.

My 3y/o has a new love for knock knock jokes, but she takes them very literally and it cracks me up. 3: Knock Knock! Me: Who’s there? 3: Grandma! Me: Grandma who? 3: I’m coming into your house! It’s always a different person or thing, but they’re always just coming inside. So practical.

I hope it’s someone with experience but not in a critical seat currently, the domino effect of vacancies is real. My outside pick is Ag Commissioner Thom Peterson (but he may be one of the only agency lead that AKlo would plan to keep).

For weeks I’ve been worried my sense about the Senate race was wrong and was just in a bubble of Peggy popularity. Turns out that bubble is the whole state of Minnesota. 💜
