It really doesn't make sense to attribute those job losses to AI-the-technology, because if that were the case we'd be observing AI outputs displacing conventional entertainment products, and they're clearly not. Rather, the impact of AI is that AI-the-business is crowding out other investment.

It is really fucked up that risograph is considered a misspelled word on my computers and phone and iPad.

The word risograph spelled correctly with red dots under it because the computer doesn’t know it’s a word.

Phew. 5:30 PM. Time to step away from parenting for the weekend. *Slams laptop shut.* God good thing parenting is only a M-F 9-5 thing. Imagine if this were 7 days a week with no holidays or paid overtime. Feels good to take a break. Maybe my wife and I will go to a restaurant, maybe see a movie.

I like this season of Reacher because it doesn't do the thing (big in Season 1) where every time Reacher meets someone who annoys him, they are actually Bad, and He Will Beat Them Up Or Kill Them Later. This season he makes some big errors in judgement. I love to see it. THEN he will kill everyone.

I like to tease my mom about how every TV show she watches (which, btw, is always my dad's choice, not that she objects, because she wouldn't) is about people fighting, shooting, and killing to solve their problems (which always involve fighting, shooting, and killing). I love her though.

Kids 2 and under are never bad. They purely want to be good. Any behavior (I'm reluctant to even call it misbehavior) can be corrected and guided. They're interested in the world and in others and they want to see the good in everything. They have struggles and challenge but they ARE good.
