#Martian geology The documentary power of the Atacama Desert contrasting sharp eroded salt mountain ridges with a massive smooth sand dune An artistic study of extreme textures and arid scale under a clear sky #luiscordobapharchive #atacama #chile #landscape #desert #geology #travel #EastCoastKin
Horizontal orientation landscape photograph capturing the extreme topography of the Atacama Desert in Chile. The foreground and midground feature highly eroded, rugged clay and salt rock formations with deep ridges and shadows in reddish-brown tones. Rising behind these jagged textures is a massive, smooth sand dune sweeping across the upper right. In the far distance, blue mountain ranges sit under a clear blue sky. The sunlight emphasizes the stark contrast between the sharp geological ridges and the soft contours of the desert sand. Optimized for Atacama desert geology, Valle de la Luna landscapes, eroded rock formations, and South American arid geography indexing.

Everybody was given the opportunity to invest in a square meter blue sky. A piece to call their own. It was fun for a few days, like with a new toy, but then the people remembered that the sky was the last thing they had owned together. No one was happy. Not even the businessman who sold the sky.
Photo by me. We see an edited photo showing a dark shadowy high house wall with square windows reflecting the blue sky. In the bottom end there are some small bright red leaves. Place: Ammerud, Norway.

Ballpoint pen, watercolor, colored pencil, a little crayon, and charcoal pencil.

Our guy pulls up deep in the forest on his 2-speed bike. He’s flanked by tall dark trees and his path is blocked by a massive spider. He lets the Big Fella know it’s on. “Big Fella,” he says. “I fixed my 2-speed. You still wanna race.” Reader, you know Big Fella wants in on that action. Next slide.Against a starry night sky we see silhouettes of Big Fella and our man racing down a hill. It’s unclear in the drawing who will win but Big Fella is likely about to pull away.

There is a Dutch story book series about an "angry" witch living alone in the forest and most times she's just angry at the birds making noise in the morning and I relate so much. 🤣
A book of green with swirling animals illustrated. It looks a bit like the witch might have put them in a small tornado around her. Some look worried but that rabbit looks like he's having a fantastic time. The witch is wearing a necklace of random dried foraged mushrooms. She's got a red aminita for a hat. The book says Hanna Kraan Verhalen van de boze heks" in dark blue letters

Immigrant Song. youtu.be/RlNhD0oS5pk?...
My latest painting, finished just yesterday. It was inspired by a Charles Rennie Mackintosh design, Opera of the Sea, that somehow turned into a bit of a Viking longboat thing! Household gloss and emulsion paint plus acrylics on a left over bathroom wall tile (30 x 60 cm). Anything about Vikings always reminds me of Zeppelin’s Immigrant Song, which I often played loudly whilst working on this piece.
